I’m not going to lie – I had a rough week this week. I have been just beside myself with worry lately. I have an appointment coming up in two days, and I just cannot wait for confirmation that our little baby is doing fine in there. I feel like I can’t really do anything or enjoy anything until I know that it is okay. I know that’s no way to live, but I just can’t help it right now. But on a lighter note, I will hopefully have the reassurance I need soon and will be able to cultivate a better attitude during the time leading up to my next appointment.
Today I am 14 weeks and officially out of my first trimester! It is WILD to me that I am already 1/3 done with this pregnancy – like, what the heck. I feel like it was just the other day that I was finding out that I was pregnant.

Progress Photos
I see a little bump now! It is odd getting used to not having to suck my stomach in after I eat too much and feel bloated haha – but odd in a wonderful way. 😉 Every time my mom sees me she says that she can really tell now, but that has been going on for about two weeks now so who knows when other people will start to notice. I do feel like it is very noticeable when I am at the gym though in leggings and a tight tank top, so I don’t think we can go too much longer without telling people the truth. Luckily, I work from home/alone for the most part so I don’t have to worry about hiding it at work. And to be honest, I have a very slow social life right now and really only see my closest friends who already know, so nothing to worry about there either.

Feeling
My actual pregnancy symptoms were basically non-existent this last week, but like I said above, I have been super emotional. Mainly just very worried about the baby, anxious about the future, and frustrated with myself for not being as active/productive as I was before I was pregnant. It really is crazy how pregnancy can totally shift your taste buds, personality, and just general overall way of carrying yourself. It isn’t a bad thing, but it is fascinating to me.
Eating/Drinking
Most foods are starting to sound good to me again – I even ate some broccoli roasted with garlic on Easter! I have been trying so hard to incorporate more green vegetables into my diet. I know how much better I feel when I eat them, so I can only imagine that it makes the baby feel good, too. Meat still doesn’t sound great, but I am doing fish and chicken sparingly and in very small amounts.
I have been “craving” all the same kind of things I have mentioned in the last few weeks, but especially still strawberries and cereal. I think I could live on those two things right now. Sweet foods are also sounding great, which is funny because before pregnancy I was a savory person all the way. I have also oddly been loving marinara sauce? I bought a jar of spicy marinara at the grocery store this morning and am so anxious to put it on something.
Products Used
I got a few more pieces of maternity clothes this week, including a pair of super comfortable jeans from Target (I can’t link them, because they were the last pair and on a major clearance!). I was wary to try them on because they looked ridiculous, but they ended up being really cute on, fit me perfectly right now, and have a stretchable belly band so they will hopefully fit me through most of the pregnancy. I also found a couple pairs of shorts for this summer and a few simple, spring dresses, too.
Not really sure if this is a “product” I am using, but books have been a lifesaver for me right now. They help me to get out of my head and away from my worries for a while, and I cherish that time so much. On the other hand, Grey’s Anatomy does the same thing for me 😉 Which by the way….I am embarrassed to say that I started watching the show when I found out I was pregnant (January 21) and as of today (April 2) I am almost done with season 10. Just for your reference, there are approximately 24 episodes in a season. Oh my. Can you tell I haven’t been feeling great and have been barely leaving the house these last three months…?
Fitness Routine
Exactly the same as last week. I still tend to feel the best when I am moving, so staying active is very important to me.
Other
We had Easter this week (and had a wonderful day until I got sick after eating) and used the opportunity at actually being dressed in real clothes for a change (seriously, I have been living in yoga pants and oversized t-shirts) to have my sister take some pregnancy photos of us! As a side note, at this point we still have not “announced” our pregnancy to everyone – just our families and closest friends know right now. But we want to be prepared with some cute pictures when we are ready to share the news! We tried to do a mix of some normal and some funny ones…. 🙂

I think I like the last one the best haha. Taking so many pictures lately has actually been really rough for me. I typically hate getting pictures taken of myself or even worse, taking selfies, but I know that I will want these memories one day so I am forcing myself to.
The only other thing that I’ve got going on right now is my 14-week appointment coming up in a couple of days. I am so anxious for it and like I said, will hopefully have a much more positive attitude afterwards. This will be the first appointment I am going to on my own, too.
I’ll be back with another update soon!
